Stan Abrams, lawyer, professor and author of ChinaHearsay, stops by to discuss the challenges Chinese firms have had investing in the US. The pod covers Huawei’s recent trouble trying to purchase $2 million of 3Leaf’s patents and technology, as well as a discussion about Ambassador Jon Huntsman, Jr.’s political aspirations.

You can read Stan Abrams’ writings on China Hearsay. Stan has written several entries on the CFIUS review process and China’s attempts set up a domestic equivalent agency:

Please note that, literally as we were recording, Huawei announced that it would not appeal the CFIUS ruling to President Obama, so some of the specifics of the discussion reflect our ignorance of that shift. That aside, the content of the conversation is still relevant to the investment environment.
